About the VIC

Welcome to the Brockton VIC!

The Brockton Visitor Information Centre is located at 101 Durham St in Walkerton and is operated by the Walkerton BIA on behalf of Brockton Municipality. The knowledgeable staff will be able to help you find what you are looking for.

Brockton hosts the vibrant communities of Walkerton, Cargill, Chepstow, and Elmwood. It is the perfect daytrip away from the crowded shoreline. Our clean water lifestyle promises to be a refreshing change of pace for our visitors.

Keep it reel, and enjoy the area’s first-class fly fishing. Visitors are encouraged to use sustainable catch and release practices to ensure the future health of our rivers. Kayaking, canoeing, or floating in a tube downstream lure many people to the area. Grab the kids and get your feet wet at the Kinsmen’s Splash Pad in Walkerton. Brockton is also home to the legendary Greenock Swamp, Ontario’s single largest forested wetland. Contact Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority for a tour.

Wash your worries away with the many parks and trails in Brockton. They’re perfect for hiking, cycling, camping, skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. You’ll have a ball using our Bruce Power Regional Soccer Park or joining the Dirt Pigs Slo-Pitch Tournament. Visit Saugeen Municipal Airport and watch planes dip and dive during the Canadian National Aerobatic Championships. Catch a live performance at Victoria Jubilee Hall or Cargill’s Pickn’ by the Pond music festival. Don’t miss Brockton’s Doors Open event and access architectural, historical and cultural buildings in the area.

We promise you’ll be hooked when you explore the unique businesses and local watering holes during your visit to Brockton.
